Singapore – Qatar

Collaborative workshop between MAG”Maksoud Architectural Group” and DPA for doing a concept design for the biggest park in Doha-Qatarincluding the necessary facilities for the park, DPA & MAG collaborated on “Phase 1: Primarily design phase” and “Phase 2: Physical prototype “high tech and reality style”.
Where MAG LAB as part of MAG was responsible for doing all researches, analysing with the design of several aspects which were related to parametric deign and digital technologies and materials.
The park area was approximately 2000,000 sqm.
The first phase of the workshop held at MAG offices in Qatar for 5 intensive days, where the two teams joined in researching and sketching out the ideas.

The second phase of the workshop held at DPA offices in Singapore for more than 1 intensive week where the teams started the workshop there in the design phase, and continued the work and coordinating weekly until the final presentation.

General Manager of MAG, Arch.Muhsen Maksoud and studies manager of MAG, Director of MAG LAB M.Arch.Aref Maksoud presented the final concept design to Qatar Amir: ShikhHamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani at the final presentation ceremony in Doha.
