MAGLAB 3D printed and laser cut products are ongoing research into the transference of digital process into contemporary design.
The developed forms are a translation from Arabic language and calligraphy by a parametric associated software and 3D printed to final 3D printed and laser cut products.
Taken out of craft and into the 21st century progressive domain of polymerization and industry, MAGLAB 3D printed and laser cut products are a collection, acknowledges this lineage but pushes the boundaries between material structures and form into a new modern territory, parametrically conceived and diametrically opposed to modernism in its expression.
The design of the pieces uses a complex, interlocking elements to create a bold statement around the body.
The initial design began with studding and exploring the Arabic Calligraphy then by computer we generated a 3-d options of the forms that was then turned into the geometric forms were based off of.
