Private Residence Villa

As long as architects are not able to solve all the world ecological

problems, all we can do is: to design energy efficient buildings and

give influence to transport patterns through urban planning. Importantly,

the sustainability also implies a way of building that is sensitive

to its location and the culture that has shaped it. We used this principle

planning a private villa.

The sustainability is an issue that has driven the work of the practice

since the early days and continues to inform what we do today. It is a

thread that runs through the beginning to the future. Sustainability is a

word that has become fashionable over the last decade. However, the

sustainability in our works is not a matter of fashion, but survival.

The moment of balance.

Three fragmented approaches of bio sustainability design have emerged

this project: economic, environmental and social.

We tried to adapt our daily life to the movement of the sun without moving our

building. Thinking ecologically in our design, as an adaptive system

that incorporate feedback and change, trying to create an urban

space that can maintain a good balance between nature and city,

function and form.

To help us make new advances in sustainable design, we have our

own studio, research and development lab, which also includes the

sustainability forum. Finding the best way to get benefit from daylight,

create interior and exterior living conditions for different types of users,

different activities.

We consider this villa as a research work to establish architecture as part of the Nature-Environment.

The villa is an example in “Green design” appear obviously in site view,

Sustainability also implies a way of building that is sensitive to its location and the culture that has shaped it (using the local stones), as we did in this private villa.
